The importance of the Remote Service Computer

To improve our customers' operational efficiency and to ensure that their equipment performs at its best, we at MPS would like to highlight the importance of Remote Service Control (RSC).

What is an RSC?

A Remote Service Computer (RSC) is a specialized hardware solution that allows remote access to your machine. It functions as an intermediary that enables technical support teams to access and diagnose problems remotely, often to perform troubleshooting or updates tasks without needing to be physically present.

The RSC serves as the machine’s diagnostic system, empowering MPS technical service to access your machine’s software and pinpoint potential issues with ease.

Having an RSC in operation can significantly reduce the travel and visit expenses associated with technician calls, as most problems can be resolved remotely. Save time and money while ensuring your machine runs smoothly!

Why is this important?

Many of our customers discover the true value of RSC only when faced with unexpected machine breakdowns or disruptions. To avoid these challenges and keep your business running at its best, having a reliable RSC is essential:

  • Reduced downtime: get your equipment back up and running faster, reducing delays that can slow down your operations.
  • Troubleshooting: identify issues faster so you can address them before they become bigger problems.
  • Save money: cut costs by reducing emergency repairs and limiting equipment downtime.

Keep your RSC online and up to date to avoid delays and ensure smooth operations. Don’t have an RSC yet? No problem – it's available for all machine types and ages

Example: If you have one MPS press operating on an 8-hour shift, an unexpected machine breakdown or disruption can cost between €3,200 and €6,000. If the issue isn’t resolved by the second day, costs will escalate further up to €6,400 - €12,000. For operations with two presses running double shifts (16 hours) or three presses running 24 hours, the financial impact increases proportionally with downtime.

The RSC does not require any maintenance, the backup battery will be checked within your SLA agreement if you currently own one, if you do not have an SLA agreement currently, please feel free to request a quotation for this when you contact us. Prices are currently being held until January 1st, 2025.
